Child Trends Releases New Report on Funding for Youth Transitioning from Foster Care

This week, Child Trends released a report, Funding Supports and Services for Young People Transitioning from Foster Care, which provides an overview of how jurisdictions are using existing funding sources to serve youth transitioning from foster care and examines the funding challenges they continue to face. The report also identifies policy issues for the child welfare field to consider as they seek to improve services and supports for young people transitioning from foster care, such as how increased funding levels could better support the Chafee program in achieving its objectives and how to leverage new opportunities under Family First. In addition to the report, Child Trends has produced a two-pager summarizing the report and talking points. Please feel free to share these resources widely.
