Beyond the Bars II: Creating Effective Collaborations on Behalf of Children of Incarcerated Parents

Please join GCYF in the San Francisco Bay area for a uniquely structured leaning summit led by an outstanding faculty of national experts and foundation leaders. With a focus on collaboration, the centerpiece of the conference will be the initiatives of four foundations and their community partners, each of whom chose a very different focus and approach, and each of whose work has had tremendous impact.

Come hear and learn from the collaborative journeys of

  • The Permanent Fund for the Well-Being of Vermont Children
and their partner, Vermont Children Aid Society
  • The Pittsburgh Child Guidance Foundation working with the
    Allegheny County Jail
  • The Zellerbach Family Foundation working with San Francisco
    County Child and Family Services
  • The Women’s Foundation of California, partnering with the
    Southern California Children Coalition

Through both presentations and continuing dialogue with these foundation
leaders, their partners and other experts, participants will be able to consider how their foundations’ unique mandates and resources, both internal and external, can support initiatives for children of incarcerated parents that not only provide programming but translate into policies that can effect long-term system-level changes.

Mark your calendars and keep an eye on your inbox for a more detailed message including the detailed agenda and registration information in a few days
